Worthing Rugby Football Club is committed to ensuring that equity is
incorporated across all aspects of our development. In doing so, we
acknowledge and adopt the following Sports England definition of sports
Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognizing
inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the
culture and structure to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone
in the society.
All volunteers and club employees regularly working with our youth will be CRB checked and hold a current certificate through the RFU scheme.
Volunteers are required to complete the enhanced CRB check and produce supporting ID evidence. Contact Elaine Kitcher for further details.
The recruitment and retention of Volunteers is fundamental to the ongoing operation and future success of WRFC. Our key sources of volunteers are:
Parents of youth players
Current and retired players
Rugby enthusiasts and supporters
All youth coaches and managers should hold a first aid certificate.
* We fund 2-3 sports focussed first aid courses each season and encourage all youth volunteers to complete one.
* We provide and maintain first aid kits for each youth team, these should be present at each fixture and training session.
